Marketing the STLP program helps the school gain recognition, support of the community and strengthens the program. Here are some tips for building your brand.
Students play a big part in spreading the word, but don’t forget to take advantage of social media and other outlets to let folks know you’re launching STLP.
- Let people know your STLP exists and is active.
- Communicate to parents and the community. Use IC Parent Portal, Twitter, etc. to reach as many as possible.
- Market the program. Create your own STLP school brand. Remember, the STLP logo was released under Creative Commons licensing… you can customize to your liking and needs without any copyright issues.
- Use social media, web pages, newsletters, news broadcasts, and other student products to get the word out about STLP at your school.
- Be sure to submit your school info to have your STLP part of the Get Recognized program at the start of each year.
