| STLP PROJECTS: Level i and Level 1 Prep |
| If your students are working through the STLP Project Cycle, October is the month to work on your Level i activities and turn focus over to getting ready for Level 1 Regionals. Registration is open now and closes October 28. Level 1 presentations will take place online on November 18. |

| Making the Most of Level i |
Take some time to review the 5 Stages of Level i. Though not required to register for Level 1, these are the recommended activities to help project teams be their the strongest. Since
Level i is all about Imagination, Investigation, Identifying, and Improving on project ideas, the Project Toolkit provides you with resources to guide your student projects in the right direction. Available resources include: project brainstorming prompts, an implementation statement worksheet, and a project planning guide that introduces the concepts found in L1 rubric/scoring guide. |

| Even if you’re not sure your teams will be ready in November, register them before the deadline to save a spot for them in Level 1. We can always remove teams from the roster after the registration deadline… but we can’t add any. |

| SHARE YOUR STLP STORY AT SPRING KAST |
| STLP Coaches are doing some of the most creative education technology work happening in KY schools, and we’d love to see more of those stories at the Spring KAST conference. |
| Consider applying to present a session showcasing an STLP strategy, student experience, project, classroom idea or lesson you think others could learn from. Session proposals are due in November, so now is a great time to start thinking about what you could share. |
| Your next move: |
| • |
Think about something from your STLP experience that other educators could replicate or benefit from hearing about |
| • |
Consider presenting with another coach or collaborating teacher |

| HELP US FIND STLP ENGINEER/AMBASSADORS |
| Applications are open for the 2026-27 STLP Engineer/Ambassador team. These 9th -12th grade students serve as statewide STLP leaders, work alongside KDE’s Office of Education Technology, support our partners at KAST, help lead the STLP State Championship, and connect with other outstanding student leaders from across Kentucky. |
| Review all the info about the STLP E/A opportunities and share the application with students who you could enourage to apply. Applications will be accepted until November 1st. |
