Tomorrow marks the day when thousands of students from nearly 800 schools across Kentucky showcase their Level 1 Projects at Regionals. To all the incredible schools and students gearing up for their presentations, we wish you the best of luck—your hard work is about to shine!

A massive shoutout to the unsung heroes—the STLP Coaches. Your dedication and tireless efforts to bring this fantastic opportunity to your students do not go unnoticed. By this time tomorrow, we’ll all be reminded why we invest this time and effort into STLP experiences.

But wait, there’s more! A heartfelt thank you to our phenomenal volunteer judges—you are the heartbeat of this event. Nearly 400 administrators, CIOs, District Technicians, Digital Learning Coaches, Principals, library media specialists, computer science teachers, and educators from all grades levels and subject areas are generously dedicating their morning to witness the brilliance of your students. We can’t express our gratitude enough.

Get ready for an awe-inspiring day in the realm of education technology in Kentucky!

And to our Level 1 Coaches and Judges, stay tuned for another email shortly with some last-minute updates and alerts for Regionals.

Now, onto three quick updates:

  1. Creative Digital Arts (CDA) Deadline: The registration deadline is December 20th. Don’t let it sneak up on you—mark your calendars and secure your spot for this showcase of creativity! To answer your most burning question, no, there is currently no plan to extend the December 20th deadline. 😊
  2. KySTE Spring Sessions: We’re thrilled to announce that many of you have been selected to present STLP-related sessions. Thank you for your submissions, and we can’t wait to learn from you in Louisville this March.
  3. STLP Engineer/Ambassador Program: A massive thank you to Bellevue Independent’s CIO/DTC, Jim Seward, for leading this program and assembling a strong team of reviewers who say the STLP E/A applications have been outstanding, making the selection process very challenging. While Jim and his team wrap up their reviews, thank you for encouraging your high school STLP leaders to apply each year. We rely on the STLP E/As as the backbone support team at Spring KySTE and as the behind-th-scenes leaders making the STLP State Championship come to life. Good luck to the candidates.

Dec. 6th is set to be a remarkable day—a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the incredible potential of our students. Let’s make it unforgettable!
