As we dive into the new year, the Creative Digital Arts (CDA) competition is buzzing with activity! January brings some exciting updates as judges have received their assignments, gearing up for the crucial task of scoring the diverse array of digital entries submitted by talented students like yours.

How Does CDA Judging Work?

Curious about the behind-the-scenes magic? Let’s break it down! Each digital product is carefully grouped into its respective grade division and then randomly assigned to dedicated judge groups. These groups consist of multiple volunteer judges who play a pivotal role in evaluating the entries.

The Judging Process

Judges access the CDA entries via the provided URLs during the registration process. Each digital product undergoes thorough scrutiny by multiple judges, and their scores contribute to determining the final score. It’s a meticulous process that ensures a fair and comprehensive assessment of the creativity and innovation showcased by our young talents.

Advancing to Semi-Finals

Once the judging is complete for all entries in a specific category, the highest-scoring products make their way to the Semi-Finals stage. This is a significant milestone as it paves the way for these exceptional creations to shine at the STLP State Championship.

STLP Coaches, Stay In the Loop!

STLP Coaches, if you’ve submitted your students’ CDA entries, keep a close eye on your email. Judges may reach out to request access, and your prompt response is key to avoiding any hiccups in the judging process. While judges are not obligated to inform you if a link doesn’t work, many will take the time to email you for access. A quick reply ensures a smooth experience and helps avoid any potential access score issues.

No Worries for Semi-Finals!

For CDA entries that successfully advance to the STLP State Semi-Finals, rest assured that judges will use the same URLs you submitted in December. There’s no need to resubmit anything ahead of State. This streamlined process is one of the reasons why CDA is a favorite among STLP Coaches and judges alike—everything happens online, making it a perfect fit for those NTI/snow days.

So, buckle up for an exciting journey through the world of Creative Digital Arts in the STLP community. Cheers to the talented students, dedicated judges, and supportive coaches who make this competition a celebration of innovation and creativity!

Stay tuned for more updates, and best of luck to all participants!
