ABOUT SERVICE TEAMS
Important: All Service Team candidates, if selected after their interview at Regionals or after judging their DPOJ entries, will need to commit to attending STLP State as a member of their specific service team. This is an all day commitment at State… there will likely not be enough time to be part of a project team or enter other competitions. So, think carefully before applying for a spot on a Service Team.
There is no additional competition at State.
Instead, that is where the “Service “ aspect comes into play. Once you make it to State as part of a Service Team, you’ll spend your time in Rupp/Lex Center helping to run the event and contribute to your team’s assignment.
All Service Team members will be recognized on stage during the STLP State Awards Show and they will receive an award commemorating their service to STLP. Include the STLP Awards Show in your planning for State.
